Why professional tooth whitening?
Many of our patients ask us why they should opt for professional tooth whitening over the widely available over the counter kits.
- Our tooth whitening procedures are custom formulated, to address your individual goals and needs.
- We offer only the most effective, professional strength tooth whitening solutions, for the most dramatic and most effective whitening possible.
- Over the counter kits use one size fits all whitening trays, or strips, which can cause discomfort, even abrasions and other injury, which are irritated and inflamed by the bleaching gel.
- We offer a range of solutions for your personal needs, including both at-home and in-office procedures, as well as other options when tooth bleaching would be ineffective.
What options are available?
We offer three general categories of tooth whitening procedure:
- Zoom! in-office tooth whitening procedures, the quickest and most dramatic tooth whitening solution available today.
- At-home tooth whitening kits, which let you achieve professional whitening results in the comfort of your own home.
- Other options, including porcelain veneers and dental bonding, to address problems with deep or stubborn staining that cannot be completely addressed by bleaching.
Can bleaching whiten my teeth?
In cases in which the tooth enamel is stained by food, drink, smoking, and similar causes, professional tooth bleaching is often the most effective tooth whitening option.
However, if your teeth are stained more deeply, as a result of injury, illness, or drug interaction, other options, such as porcelain veneers or dental bonding procedures, may be more effective.
How long does the tooth whitening procedure take?
Our Zoom! in office whitening procedure may take as little as a single office visit, while our at-home tooth whitening kits may take anywhere from a week to a month or so to achieve maximum whitening results.
How long will my results last?
Your teeth will always be whiter and brighter after a tooth whitening procedure than they would have been otherwise. In general, our patients find that their optimal results last from about two to three years. Many patients choose to repeat their whitening procedure after this time to ensure that their smile stays as white and bright as possible.
