About oral surgery
Oral and maxillofacial surgery is a specialized field of dentistry, requiring extensive training in both traditional dentistry and in surgical techniques and technologies.

Types of oral surgery
Some of the most common types of oral surgery we offer include wisdom tooth extractions, bone grafting, dental implants, sinus lifts, and corrective procedures for conditions such as temporomandibular joint disorder (TMD, or TMJ).
Wisdom tooth extractions are a common but necessary procedure for many of our patients. An impacted wisdom tooth is a wisdom tooth that has either failed to emerge or has emerged only partially, so that the tooth remains wholly or partly under the gumline. Potential problems associated with impacted wisdom teeth include periodontal or gum disease, decay of the wisdom tooth itself or adjacent teeth, as well as potential formation of cysts and other complications.
