Many dentistry parents ask us when is the best time to schedule their child's first dental appointment.
We recommend that a child visit the dentist when his or her first tooth comes in, or at 1 year old at the latest. Thus, a dental home can be established by one year of age. This will let us evaluate your child's dental health early, before any problems have a chance to arise.
Our goal in children's dentistry is always to prevent problems before they occur, to ensure that your child's dental visits are painless, informative, and pleasant.
We even offer a free, no obligation First Tooth Evaluation for our youngest family dentistry patients up to 12 months of age. This evaluation provides us with the opportunity to help you and your child develop good dental habits as soon as his or her first tooth erupts.
